16 Years and Counting
February 7 was the day that Tommy and I went on the air together for the first time 16 years ago.
I meant to write something Sunday, and then I got distracted by TB12. I say again, I love sports. My whole life I’ve been attracted to Greatness. I think the reason why is because I’ve always believed that I was supposed to do something great myself. The massive dreams that I have for myself haven’t exactly turned out the way I expected yet….
Through everything, there has been Gaming Uncensored.
We started from nothing and though we are not exactly where I would like to be at this point, we are absolutely totally blessed. We have a small fan base by most standards but our fans are completely nuts.
We are spoiled rotten.
There is always something showing up at one of our houses.
Sometimes, it’s the newest hottest game on the market.
Sometimes it’s state-of-the-art technology. VR headsets, computers, adaptive technology, you name it, we have it.
The reason for this is the people that support us.
We are two dudes with a minimal amount of talent. Honestly I don’t think we’re that interesting to listen to. We are where we are because of the listeners. We probably should have quit 5 years ago. Doing this thing with 500 miles between us, without the ability to dedicate the amount of time to it that it deserves, has been challenging.
We keep rolling because the fan support won’t allow us to stop. Truth be told, I can’t imagine not doing the show.
It is our sanctuary.
An open mic doesn’t mean anything if no one is interested in what the person using it has to say. Knowing that someone is interested in what we have to say makes it worth doing. The listeners are the reason we’re still here, and probably will be as long as we’re breathing.
Thank you for what is an amazing ride. I hope it’s just getting started.

Great post Jamie!
Time sure does fly. I never got to hear you both on the air, but I’ve been around since your first podcast E4 and have no plans of leaving.
Thanks for all of the great work and entertainment you’ve provided to us all over the last 16 years! It has been a lot of fun hearing the ever-evolving world of gaming be reported, debated and [mis?]predicted by you and Tommy!
Here’s to the next 16!
[and for a Dreamcast 2! :p ]
16 YEARS!!! Congrats guys!
I found the show when I got my original iPod Nano (in 2005) and discovered podcasts. I searched for video game podcasts and you were on the top of that list. Has to be around the same time. You were trailblazers. Keep up the great work.
